Sometimes I think that the definition of art has been tampered with too much. There are too many people getting by with too little effort on too many occasions and calling it "art". They doodle on a page, drop some paint on canvas, click around on a computer for a while, call it abstract and hang it on the wall like it has earned it's place there. But it seems like most of the time I don't believe in it. Art is supposed to do something to you. It is supposed to take your heart and your eyes and your soul and change them so that they can't ever beat or see or feel the same again. It is supposed to change you within a few second, and then go on changing you as you walk away from it. When is the last time that happened for you?
In a world where there is maybe to much stimulus, or perhaps we have just forgotten the time and patience and thought and passion that the masters placed in their work, I think our definitions have become too cloudy... But this... this is different... this is by far the prettiest art I have seen in a very long time.

you should write a book.
Um hi. I found your blog on Kelli Manwaring's blog and I thought, "wow, I am going to have to follow this puppy." I could not agree more with you about the watering down of true art, or the beauty of that film. Thanks for posting.
